This tour was offered in 2024. Unlike other hiking Odyssey’s, it is not available to book as a custom, however we continue to offer one week tours in the Canadian Rockies.
Timberline has been exploring the Canadian Rockies from our start. For this year only, we are combining the best of the hikes throughout the region for a spectacular two week Hiking Odyssey. Visit Jasper, Banff, Yoho, Glacier, Mt. Revelstoke and Kootenay National Parks. These are all fantastic parks in their own right, but together encompass over 100 mountain ranges of the Canadian Rockies for a wondrous tour. We’ll take in spectacular vistas, walk on expansive glaciers, marvel over the turquois waters of glacial lakes, pass thunderous waterfalls and curse at the steepness that creates these young and magnificent mountains.
The tour includes some classic must-do hikes into the alpine terrain, and some lighter days of hiking to allow time to also explore the towns and resorts where we stay. A layover day in Revelstoke presents the opportunity to boat on the lake, rent some bikes or stroll the streets. Our overnight lodging includes some magnificent lodges in dramatic locations, including the exclusive Storm Mountain Lodge, the elegant Heather Mountain Lodge, and the secluded but extravagant Shadow Lake Lodge, deep in the Ball mountain Range spanning Banff and Kootenay National Parks. Demand for these exclusive lodges has dramatically elevated prices, but we continue to get feedback that the grandiose environment is well deserved.
