These very special men and women are chosen by Timberline, not only for their obvious love of cycling and hiking and the outdoors, but also because of their caring manner, competence and enthusiasm, and their desire to share some extraordinary experiences with a wide variety of people and personalities over the course of a season.

The leaders at Timberline Adventures stand out because they’re not just passionate outdoorspeople but highly skilled professionals deeply committed to safety, community, and experience. Carefully selected for their love of hiking and cycling and their caring, enthusiastic nature, each leader brings certifications like Wilderness First Responder, CPR, and—when applicable—mechanical know-how, ensuring both physical preparedness and emotional support for every participant. The company doubles down on their expertise through an annual Guide Training Weekend that keeps them current on safety protocols and field best practices. This dedication, bolstered by decades of personal and shared adventure, enables these guides to deliver worry-free, unforgettable journeys into some of the wildest and most inspiring national parks across the globe.
