The Canadian Rockies have been a big part of Timberline Adventures tours from the start.  For cycling or hiking, there is no other place more majestic, more colorful or more breathtaking to experience.  The famed Golden Triangle cycling route carries you through Banff National Park, Kootenay National Park, and Yoho National Park on a traditionally 3 day ride.  Our itinerary spreads that ride over four days, with extra time to explore some of the trails on foot along the way.  The route spans the divide between British Columbia and Alberta over Vermilion Crossing and Kicking Horse Pass and down the Columbia River Valley, visiting the towns of Golden, Lake Louise, and Radium Hot Springs.  But for us, that’s just the start.  We continue north along the Icefields Parkway into Jasper National Park.  We cycle past numerous glaciers, plummeting falls, turquoise blue lakes and beautiful canyons.  Over Bow summit and Sumwapta Pass in a high valley of the Canadian Rockies, the views look like a color enhanced fairy tale.
