Reserve This Tour

A truly extraordinary eclectic adventure, the Colorado High Country Cycling Tour perhaps best expresses the magic that is Colorado. Along the way you will experience well known Colorado towns: the vibrancy of Boulder and the excitement of the ski towns of Steamboat, Vail and Breckenridge. You will cycle through the heart of the Rocky Mountain parks, along its canyons and over mountain passes.  You’ll experience the serenity of Willow Creek, the solitude and expansive freedom of North Park, the rush of Colorado River white water, the glitz of Vail resort and the magnificence of above-timberline passes. And it all starts with the granddaddy of all alpine cycling experiences: the thrill of Trail Ridge Road through the majestic alpine grandeur of Rocky Mountain National Park. The Colorado High Country Cycling Tour is a Colorado classic to the core.

For this 10-day tour, you’ll ride 415 miles on some of Colorado’s best cycling roads; you’ll climb seven spectacular, named passes and a few additional hills you’ll argue deserve to be named. You’ll traverse Rocky Mountain National Park from its eastern gate to its western extremity.  You’ll enjoy the luxurious amenities of three of Colorado’s world-renowned ski resorts with some extra time to enjoy the hot springs, mountain vibes, and world class restaurants.  Note – a van shuttle is provided from the tour end in Bergen Park to Denver International Airport, or nearby hotels.  This self-guided tour can be booked in summer or fall.  We recommend mid-July through early October for the best weather and conditions.  Tours must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, with a minimum of 2 participants.

THIS TOUR CAN BE SHORTENED TO END IN VAIL, CO, WITH A SHUTTLE BACK TO DENVER

Note: Actual hotels are subject to availability and not guaranteed before booking.  Posted price is based on a mid-week span with at least 3 months notice.  Price will be adjusted according to current hotel availability and costs. Hotel costs are likely to increase as tour date approaches, so earlier bookings will see better savings.
