Virgin Island Hiking and Snorkeling
The Caribbean Islands brings up images of white, sandy beaches, cool ocean breezes, and sipping mai tais in a hammock. But what if this scene came after a fascinating hike through the interior, along historic plantation ruins from the times when sugar dominated the island, past petroglyphs carved by the Taino Indians, and to secluded, hidden beaches, hosting coral reefs teeming with marine life? This will be the case on our newest hiking tour to the Virgin Islands National Park, which covers two thirds of the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands.
National Park Tour
Each day’s adventure will bring a new perspective to the island, and each afternoon will offer a chance to relax and rejuvenate in your favorite manner. After two devastating hurricanes in 2017, the island has been rebuilt, better than before. Power is now dependable, roads have been rebuilt and paved, beaches have been cleaned up and trails have been refurbished with sustainability in mind. Join us in exploring another of our fabulous national parks, Timberline style.
