What’s the best way to experience Glacier National Park and Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada? On a bike riding the roads of the front country, or on foot, hiking the trails of the vast back country? But why choose? Each offers an insight unlike that of the other and the two are incredibly compatible and complementary.  In both the US and Canada parks, we have a full day devoted to hiking the most famous, high adventure trails and another 1/2 day to explore the vicinity of the great lodges.  Cycling from town to town give you a better sense of the vastness of the parks, with stunning vistas everywhere you turn.  We culminate the week with the coveted ride on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. There are some restrictions for cycling which benefit us, and we plan to buck the trend with an east to west ride, giving us a unique vantage point.

We stay in all the iconic, national park lodges, filled with history and grandeur.  Each lodge has its own story and appeal and we’ll have the most complete experience as we travel through the entire mountain range.

IMPORTANT NOTE: WHILE HIKING IN WATERTON AND GLACIER, TIMBERLINE ADVENTURES PARTNERS WITH WATERTON OUTDOOR ADVENTURES AND GLACIER GUIDES INC. IT IS MANDATORY WHILE HIKING IN THESE AREAS WE STAY IN A GROUP FOR SAFETY WITH ACTIVE GRIZZLY ACTIVITY. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE CAN GUESTS GET AHEAD OF THE GROUP. WE STAY TOGETHER AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND HIKING.
