How to Prepare for a Trip to Canada

Canadian rockies Don’t forget that our tour of the Canadian Rockies involves the process of crossing the international border, both for entry into Canada as well as re-entry into the United States following the tour. Although this procedure is relaxed for visitors to and from Canada, you will still be required to show proof of U.S. citizenship, both upon entry into Canada (e.g., as you clear customs at the Calgary airport) and upon return to the U.S. as you disembark from any international flight, or upon crossing the border by automobile or bicycle. In the past, although a valid drivers license was sufficient, in the post 9/11 world it is no longer sufficient. A passport is the best proof or an original birth certificate with a raised seal is also acceptable means of proving citizenship. Visas, however are not required. Contact us if you have any questions concerning proof of citizenship that may be required.
