“Loved the challenges each day of length and technical terrain.  Great variety of trails.  Great overview of the entire park.” Lori S.

In so many ways, Great Smoky Mountain National Park is dedicated to hiking and we are thrilled by the park’s 850 miles of trails where we can select those that will provide our hikers with a varied experience and a true sense of those features for which the park is famous. When one considers the park’s proximity to so many major population centers of the eastern U.S., it’s difficult to form an image of wilderness, but under the protection and guidance of the National Park Service, wilderness survives in Great Smoky.

The wilderness feel of the park is due in no small measure to its almost unbroken cover of trees, and the size and variety will astound you. Spring tours will experience the plethora of new growth in the forest including the blossoms of uncountable trees, shrubs and flowers.  Fall tours will delight with the explosion of color from autumn leaves on the densely forested trails.  Water is everywhere: creeks, streams, prongs, waterfalls and cascades. You’ll cross a number, sometimes on bridges, sometimes on foot logs, and sometime on nothing other than the soles of your boots. These are just a few of the elements that make the Smoky range special.

This tour can be booked for any dates from March– November, but we recommend avoiding the middle of summer dates as it can be hot, humid and crowded.  Tours must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance, with a minimum of 2 participants.
