We’ll assemble in Charlottetown, known as the Cradle of Confederation, where the Dominion of Canada was planned in 1864. On Day 2 we’ll ride eastward, along the water of the Northumberland Strait to Wood Islands, and then to Montague. We’ll spend our first overnight on the road at the Rodd Brudenall River Resort.
On Day 3 we’ll ride the P.E.I. coast, explore its hidden coves, sheltered harbors and authentic fishing villages. We’re headed to the remote Spry Point and its exclusive Inn for our overnight. Early the following morning, Day 4, we’ll ride through Bay Fortune and on to the beaches of the north shore, continuing to Prince Edward Island National Park. The park is divided into three sections, and right in the middle of the center section is the charming, historic lodge – Dalvay By the Sea – our home for the night.
We’ll continue our exploration of the park on Day 5 as we ride to the village of Cavendish, immortalized in the Anne of Green Gables books of Lucy Maud Montgomery. We’ll visit the Green Gables House, where many of the stories were set, and then ride on to the seaside setting of Summerside, where we’ll spend our final evening. Our last day we will explore the southern coastline, paralleling the Trans-Canada Highway, for our return to Charlottetown where our tour concludes.
