Barb

Barb grew up in northern New York State exploring the Adirondack Mountains. Her first job out of high school was guiding bicycle trips for teens with American Youth Hostels.  She pursued degrees in mathematics and engineering but never gave up the yearn for spending time in the outdoors.  She came to Colorado 30 years ago to take advantage of the unlimited skiing opportunities. Since then she has explored the slopes, trails, mountains, rivers and lakes all over the state and the western U.S.  An avid traveler, she has also climbed mountains on 5 continents and bike toured all over Europe and Asia. Her leadership experience has progressed through volunteer and professional work with the Girl Scouts, other youth organizations and guiding companies. Her credentials include Wilderness First Responder certification, training in Winter Emergency Care and avalanche safety, and years of teaching. Introducing youth to all manner of outdoor endeavors, taking clients on domestic and international exploration and facilitating a variety of events has filled her resume.  The natural progression to heading up one of the oldest adventure tour companies in the country is thrilling and yet seems like home.  The adventure awaits!
