Timberline BH Adventures Acknowledgement of Additional Risk Due to COVID-19
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING:
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. The illness is caused by the SARSCoV-2 virus, a novel coronavirus detected in late 2019.
In consideration of being able to participate in Timberline BH Adventures programs, trips, and/or services during this ongoing
pandemic, I hereby acknowledge that additional precautions, procedures and expectations have been put in place by
Timberline BH Adventures. Additionally, I acknowledge that additional risks, expectations and restrictions may be placed
on me, as a guest of Timberline BH Adventures, by the company and its guides. These include, but are not limited to:
1. Pre-tour exposure:
We urge guests to limit exposure to any potential risks of contracting the disease as much as possible for the 14 days prior to your tour and do all you can during travel to protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, wearing a mask if requested, and practicing reasonable care to avoid close contact with others. If I exhibit any symptoms of illness within 5 days of the tour, I will take a rapid covid test. If the test is positive, or if a test is not possible, I will notify the office immediately and excuse myself from the tour.
2. Emergence of symptoms during the tour:
Evaluation of the health of each guest and guide while on tour will rely heavily on self-disclosure, and observation of obvious symptoms. If I am feeling poorly, I will separate from the group for the day, and take an at home COVID test provided by Timberline. If the result is negative the I can proceed as normal. If the test is positive, I will need to leave the tour immediately.
The tour guides and the office staff will offer assistance in making arrangements for a place to quarantine, or a method of safe travel to seek medical attention. Financial responsibility, and logistical arrangements must ultimately fall to me.
3. Exposure to the virus while on tour:
If I am knowingly exposed to the virus while on tour, I will continue to wear a mask always indoors, and when I am within 6 feet of another person. If I am unvaccinated and I have been exposed to the virus, I will need to quarantine for at least 5 days.
4. Procedures while van transportation is in use:
Use of a mask that covers completely the nose and mouth are required while traveling in the Timberline BH Adventures van. The exception is if all guests are vaccinated and everyone feels comfortable traveling without a mask.
5. Procedures during dining:
Meals during the Timberline BH Adventures tour will be taken outside as much as possible or in establishments with added precautions. While indoors, I will wear a mask unless I am actively eating or drinking.
At bicycle SAG stops I will remove my cycling gloves and wash and/or sanitize my hands before choosing a snack or filling my water bottle.
