Weather

The dates selected for our GAP/C & O Adventure from Pittsburgh to D.C. are designed to capture both the full glory of spring and the beginning of fall color change in an area renowned for its natural beauty at these times of the year. Temperatures during our late-May/early-June time frame will range from the mid-70’s to lower-80’s during the day, while dropping into the 60’s at night. Daytime high temperatures in October can be cooler, ranging anywhere from the lower-60’s during a cool period, to the lower-80’s

Although we’d like to tell you that rain during these periods is unlikely, we’d hate to lie. Rain, primarily in the form of afternoon showers, is a possibility during the spring. A rainy day during the October tour would not be considered a freaky event. But who cares? We’ll all have our rain gear.
