Timberline Adventures’ Bucket List Bike Tour Will Traverse the West Coast States

Denver, CO (May 22, 2014) Timberline Adventures announces a bike tour worthy of any rider’s bucket list: An epic 39-day odyssey that will criss-cross the Pacific Crest Trail 25 times. The tour starts in Seattle on August 10 and ends in L.A. on September 17.

Pacific Crest Trail

The tour will span 2108 heart-pounding miles through four states and half-a-dozen national parks. Tour riders will propel themselves over 18 fiendish mountain passes, cruising down slope after slope of the most extravagant vistas in the west. The tour winds through the grandeur of the Cascades to Crater Lake, then traverses the rugged Sierras, descending through wine country (with appropriate stops, of course), and ending with some quality time on the beach.

“We wanted to create a bike tour that would appeal to dedicated riders looking for a challenge,” said Timberline Adventures’ owner Dave Harris, who will be co-leading the trip. “Sometimes we need to do something that reminds us what we are capable of accomplishing. This is not your typical vacation.”

Like all of the company’s bike tours, the trip includes all hotel lodging, breakfasts and dinners, park entrance fees, transfers, support van, expert leaders, tour maps, narratives and a Timberline jersey. The trip costs $14,800 USD. Bike rentals are available. The trip is divided into 3 segments (Cascades, Sierras, and Wine Country & Beach) which can be purchased individually for those unable to ride the entire tour.

Iconic Sites on the Trail

Timberline Adventures’ Pacific Crest Trail Bike Tour will take riders to some of the most iconic places in the west: Puget Sound, Mt. Rainer, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Hood, Mt. Whitney, the giant redwoods, Crater Lake, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe. Every one of these spots is bucket-list-worthy. Why not be efficient and cross them all off at once?
