Answers: Florida Keys Travel Trivia

We’re prepping for our January Florida Keys Cycling Tour. Here’s a handful of fun facts we’ve discovered about the Florida Keys.

Answers:

  1. The distance from Key Largo to Key West is 113 miles
  2. The average January temperature in the Florida Keys is in the low 70s
  3. John Pennekamp State Park extends three miles into the Atlantic Ocean and is the only living coral reef in the continental US.
  4. Key West is the southern-most city in the US and is closer to Havana than Miami

Yes! We now know tons of trivia about the Florida Keys. But we also know that cycling in the Sunshine State in January is a phenomenal way to escape the dreary days of winter. It’s way more fun than shoveling snow and scraping ice off your windshield.

Our Florida Keys Cycling adventure is in a class by itself, with sunny days, gorgeous rides and lots of quirky sideshows (think Key West) to keep you amused.

Take a look and let us know what you think.
