General Info

Trips generally will range in size between 4 to 12 participants. With that being said, sometimes it just works out we do a tour with 1, 2, or 3 persons. That could be because we have a guide in place, and we just really want to do the tour! Participants should be 21 years of age or older, unless traveling with a parent or other responsible adult. We have a mixture of couples, singles, male and female participants range from 20 to 84 years old.

The majority of tour participants fall within the 35-75 age range, clearly reflecting the wonderful reality of cycling and hiking as lifelong recreational activities. We also have always believed that the diversity of a group is an important ingredient that enriches each individual’s enjoyment of an adventure experience, and typically a reasonably even mix of singles and couples, males and females, comprise our groups. Information about composition of a specific group can be obtained by contacting our office. It is not unusual for people to meet on a Timberline Trip, come back year after year and enjoy the friendships they have made and the adventures they share.

If you have a few friends and are interested in a specific tour and the date does not work with your schedule, consider contacting the Timberline office and we can see about getting a custom tour created for you. Only 4 people are required to book a custom tour. We can design custom cycling jerseys or hiking shirts for any tour.
