“It was wonderful to be hiking back in Colorado.  The hikes up in the Rocky Mountains were fantastic.  It was great to see Carol again and both Carol and George made the tour so special.  They work well together and made the tour so much fun, especially with George’s sense of humor.  Loved the trip.”  Barbara V.

A Guided Tour Through Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is one of America’s great scenic treasures, in a state renowned for its high-mountain majesty. Within its borders are some of the world’s most spectacular alpine features – year-round glaciers, countless lakes, craggy rocks reaching to the sky, beautiful mountain valleys, extensive wildlife, vast tundra above timberline, and more than 40 peaks over 12,500 ft in elevation.  The park elevation ranges from 7,500 ft to the top of Longs Peak at 14,259 ft.  It encompasses 4 life zones whose flora and fauna change as the elevation changes.

The Group Tour Itinerary

Our Rocky Mountain Hiking Tour starts near the gateway town of Estes Park to explore lakes, waterfalls, and deep gorges. On the fourth day we drive over Trailridge Road – the highest continuous paved road in the country, to bring us to the western, uncrowded side of the park for two more hikes into the wilderness.   Please note this tour begins at 7,000 ft and goes above 10,000 ft on most days.  Taking some time to acclimate before beginning the tour is advised.
