George comes to us after 29 years of teaching high school biology. His passion for the sciences is matched by his love for adventure travel. His vacations from school and zest for life have taken him all over the world. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, hiked to Machu Picchu, scuba-dived in the Galapagos, rafted the Zambezi, fly-fished New Zealand, sailed Croatia and even lived in Australia for a year as an exchange teacher. He has led student trips to study marine biology in Hawaii and the British Virgin Islands and guided student outdoor trips all over Colorado for hiking, biking, rafting and skiing.
But, it is his passion for the National Parks that has taken him and his wife all over North America. Each day on the trail offers so much in terms of friendship, wildlife and natural beauty. He reminds us that it’s not just about the destination….. be sure and enjoy the journey. George looks forward to hiking and biking with adventure-seeking ADULTS (and not grading their papers!)
